Dr. Lee A. Kitzenberg graduated from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry in 1981, after which he built a successful dental practice. From 1981-1997 Dr. Kitzenberg’s practice grew from 600 patients to more than 6,500 patients with 16 full time employees, most of whom worked with Lee for more than 10 years and continue working with the new owners today.

 

Dr. Kitzenberg’s practice grew because of his total focus on excellent dentistry, excellent customer service, high level of integrity, and a commitment to continuing education for both himself and his team. In 1998 his office was nominated for an Ethics in Business award. Unfortunately, in 1998, Dr. Kitzenberg suffered a career-ending back and hip injury in an accident. From 1999 until 2002, Dr. Kitzenberg managed the transition of ownership from himself to two new owners. Dr. Kitzenberg understands the needs of small business owners and brings more than twenty years of business experience to New York Life.

 

Good insurance and disability products saved Dr. Kitzenberg’s dental practice and he understands first-hand the necessity for personal and business protection. He maintains the same commitment to excellence, quality of service, integrity, dedication to continuing education, and understanding his clients’ needs with New York Life Insurance Company as he had in his dental career.

 

From his first year with New York Life Insurance Company, Dr. Kitzenberg has qualified for MDRT** and President’s Council and persists to qualify every year.  He continues to expand his education through coursework at the American College.

 

Dr. Kitzenberg is a member of the MN Dental Association, the American Dental Association, NAIFA, and a member agent of The Nautilus Group, a service of New York Life Insurance Company. He is a member of the Minneapolis Institutes of Arts Photography Council, and is an active fundraiser for the Children’s Cancer Research Foundation at the University of Minnesota.
